Is Pro really free?
Yes, through the Builder Ladder: join the Builder Discord, open a free mailpipe.dev builder account, set up Workflow TV, and join the BidStacker network. Each step is verified — and verification is open on all four right now. The first three add Pro days the moment they verify, and the fourth tips you to 100 points and lifetime Pro.
What does $149 actually buy?
Lifetime Pro — one payment, no subscription, no per-word fees, ever. On the App Store builds it's an in-app purchase. For the direct-download Mac build there's a web checkout — buy once and you'll get a license key to redeem in the app.
Does Pro send anything to a cloud?
No. Pro features run on the same on-device engines as Basic — streaming dictation, every voice, and search all execute locally. The only thing that ever leaves the device is optional settings sync (dictionary, snippets, preferences) when you sign in. Transcripts and audio never sync. See the privacy policy.
What happens when my trial ends?
You keep everything in the Basic column. Dictation keeps working, your dictionary and history stay on your device, and Listen falls back to the System voice at 1.0×. Anything you saved past a Basic cap stays visible and usable. Nothing is deleted and nothing locks you out of your own data.
